Explain one of the following perspectives: A person who thinks reciting the Pledge of Allegiance is patriotic -OR- A person who thinks that abstaining from saying the Pledge of Allegiance is patriotic.

On September 8, 1892, the “Bellamy Pledge” was the first published Pledge of Allegiance of the United States. The original pledge was shorter than the current pledge. The Bellamy pledge had fewer words than the current version of the Pledge of Allegiance.
