In mid-September 1950, the 10-day Battle of Inchon (Sept. 10 – Sept. 19) was fought between North Korea and South Korea and the United Nations Command. The battle was fought in two phases. The first phase was a bombardment to prepare for phase two and lasted from 09/10 to 09/15. The second phase was an amphibious landing that lasted from 09/15 to 09/19. It has been considered a notable point in the Korean War by many historians.
