In March 1999, during the Kosovo War, the plane “Something Wicked,” a NATO F-117A Nighthawk flown by American pilot Lieutenant Colonel Dale Zelko, was shot down while attacking the Yugoslav Army over Yugoslavia. After an 8-hour search and rescue effort, Zelko was safely extracted.
