The Intolerable Acts were laws passed by the British Parliament in 1774. The acts were meant to punish the British colonists in North America due to the Boston Tea Party. The acts included the Boston Port Act, The Massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of Justice Act, and the Quartering Act. The enforcement of these acts helped to cause the American Revolution.
